Malissa Osei Named to Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2020 Women Worth Watching List
New York—June 9, 2020—Krauss Shaknes Tallentire & Messeri LLP associate Malissa Osei has been named to Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2020 Women Worth Watching list. The annual award celebrates women across the globe for their achievements inside and outside of the workplace.
Malissa is a fearless courtroom advocate for women and children victimized by domestic violence, and an impressive strategist in high-profile divorce and child support matters. With a practice focused on matrimonial matters, she has experience litigating complex contract disputes, negotiating pre-nuptial agreements, and litigating financial, child custody, and child support matters in New York’s Family and Supreme Courts.
This is not the first accolade that Malissa has received for her accomplishments. In 2019, National Black Lawyers ranked Malissa among its “Top 40 Under 40” in New York—an invitation-only network of African American attorneys honored for their demonstrated talent, leadership, and influence.
Malissa is a member of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and the National Urban League Young Professionals, a community service and volunteer network that works to eradicate social and economic inequalities. Through the Urban League and PALS mentorship program, Malissa mentors college and law school students of color. She has also volunteered with QuestBridge, a nonprofit that helps low-income high school students gain college admissions and scholarships.
Malissa’s profile can be found on page 71 in Profiles in Diversity Journal’s summer issue, available here.
