New York—May 11, 2021—Krauss Shaknes Tallentire & Messeri LLP associate Justine Stringer has been named to Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2021 Women Worth Watching list. The annual award celebrates women across the globe for their achievements inside and outside of the workplace.

Justine represents high-net-worth individuals in complex and often high-conflict matrimonial and family law matters. She has a particular focus on international child custody and international child abduction disputes, and has established herself as a go-to practitioner in the small community of attorneys who specialize in proceedings under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. A case she helped lead created new legal precedent that psychological—rather than physical—abuse can serve as the foundation for a finding of “grave risk of harm” in international child custody disputes.

Outside of her legal practice, Justine is an active member of the New York Junior League, an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and the leadership of trained volunteers. She has served as senior co- chair of the organization’s biggest fundraising event, which supports the community work of over 30 different Junior League committees, including several that partner with local nonprofits.

Justine has been consistently recognized by New York Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Family Law, and is a member of the Women’s Bar Association’s Family Law Committee and the New York State Bar Association. After graduating from law school, she served as a volunteer law clerk for the Honorable New York County Supreme Court Justice Matthew F. Cooper.
